About
The Gold Coast’s Coolangatta Beach, known for its stunning coastline and excellent surf conditions, is a vibrant hub for open water and beach sports.
Featuring a large open event space with multiple courts, Coolangatta proudly hosted Beach Volleyball events during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, and other prestigious events such as the National Beach Volleyball Championships and International Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour.
Within walking distance is Snapper Rocks, the world-renown surf break, and a cornerstone of the Gold Coast’s World Surfing Reserve.
Home to a long right-hand wave, that peels across the man-made Superbank, in the right conditions surfers can ride waves for close to 2 kilometres. The venue has hosted numerous World Surf League events including the Gold Coast Pro.
Coolangatta Beach is situated close to accommodation options and shopping centres, and is a short 10-minute drive from the Gold Coast airport.
